Formula 4 is the first step above karting, serving as the entry-level formula racing category. Cars use a 4-cylinder engine with a maximum output of 160hp and are available with chassis from Ligier, Dome, Mygale, or Tatuus, paired with engines from Abarth, Ford, Geely, Honda, Renault, or Tom’s-Toyota. There are no global Formula 4 championships, but national and regional series provide competitive racing opportunities.

Formula 1 is the pinnacle of single-seater racing. Modern F1 cars are powered by 1.6-liter V6 hybrid turbo engines capable of over 1000hp with a minimum weight of 790kg (including the driver).
