Pontiac Firebird Trans Am 9.5-litre V8 race car, engine approx. 760 bhp

Engine: Very expensive 575 Donovan racing engine, approx. 10 hours of running time since rebuild, Big Brodix heads, Callies crankshaft and connecting rods, Diamond pistons, Jesel valve train + belt, MSD ignition; the engine alone is worth over €30,000. Engine revs up to 7,000 rpm! Dry-sump lubrication, Moroso oil pump. 3 fuel pumps, Holley Black Series main fuel pump, new RAM Assault Weapon 3-disc clutch, hydraulic release, all fluids fresh.

Gearbox: almost new 4-speed dog ring gearbox, straight-cut gears. G-Force GF4A gearbox (rated up to 1,000 hp)

Chassis: Special chassis, 12-bolt rear axle. Expensive multi-piece BBS rims (11x18 and 13x18).

2 sets of Michelin slicks 30/66-18 front and 31/71-18 rear!

Front brakes: Porsche GT2/Turbo with Pagid racing brake pads, balance bar system

Bodywork: Involved in a racing accident in 2012, subsequently completely rebuilt and race-optimised. In 2022, I carried out various further improvements, specifically engine and chassis optimisation. Completely repainted. Significantly weight-reduced, just 1,283 kg ready to drive! Doors, wings, bonnet, boot lid, bumpers etc. all made from GRP. The moulds for the GRP parts are available! A replica can therefore always be produced cost-effectively. Side and rear windows in Lexan, side windows with sliding sections. Electric power steering, steering box and front steering components new, hydraulic fly-off handbrake. New battery. Instrument panel with lambda sensor, speedometer, oil/water temperature gauge, circuit breakers. Steering wheel/seat/seatbelts new! Fire suppression system and fire extinguisher new.

General: Classics category (historic racing). Quite brutal to drive (9,500 cc engine, approx. 800 Nm at the wheel from just 3,000 rpm!, engine over 700 hp!), racing experience is ... helpful! Extremely fast car, serious race car, only the finest parts fitted. Not road legal.

A historically significant beauty with potential for appreciation in value. Very rare. Built in 1972, ready to race immediately! Fresh major service with special racing oil. I have further refined the car and it is now absolutely capable of winning.

Ideal for use in the YTCC (Youngtimer Touring Car Challenge), Histo Cup, GLP ProCar etc.

Due to my age, I am retiring from racing and would like to pass this top-class car on to an experienced racing driver who wants to compete for the overall victory. And this with a beautiful car whose value can only rise due to its historical significance.
