The Racemarket Iberia team is pleased to offer for exclusive sale one of the vehicles of Miguel Prieto, the veteran Spanish Dakar driver. Miguel raced for 30 years as a professional driver for teams such as Nissan and Mitsubishi, taking part in 20 Dakars and was the first Spanish driver to achieve a podium finish in the Dakar with a 2nd place overall in the cars in 1999.
This Nissan Terrano 2 was built in 2001 to race in the Portuguese and Spanish cross-country championships and had satisfactory results in the hands of Francisco Inocêncio. In 2004 the car became part of the Miguel Prieto Dakar team's garage, where it has been stored and maintained to this day.
With a Nissan 2.7 Turbo Diesel engine (TD27) and a short ratio gearbox, transfer case and differentials, this Nissan Terrano 2 is the ideal option for beginners or for the enthusiastic driver who wants a cost-effective way of rally raiding.
This car has various panels and parts made from carbon fibre, such as the doors, windows, bonnet and bumpers. The suspension consists of independent axles at the front and rigid axles at the rear, both reinforced and with 2 sets of Reiger coilovers per wheel at the rear and a set of Reiger coilovers and a stock shock absorber at the front. It has engine oil and gearbox oil coolers and an intercooler. The brakes have racing discs and brake pads on all four wheels and an oversized brake booster.
Inside, there are ventilation hatches in the roof, a turbo gauge and temperature gauges, a cradle for time and distance measuring equipment and a visible fuse box.
The car has an approved rollbar, seats, five-point seat belts, a Sparco steering wheel, aluminium pedals and supports, interior and exterior fire extinguishers, a water tank for use by the driver and co-driver, an interior light for the co-driver, ceiling lights to support night visibility, six aluminium wheels, a rear support for spare wheels, ceramic clutch, specific jack with anchor points to the chassis, storage spaces for parts and tools, battery in the boot with interior and exterior electric current cutter, 150-litre fuel tank with quick-fill nozzle, aluminium underride guards and power steering with shorter ratio.
As described by the car's owner, the engine has perfect compression, the paintwork is in good condition and there are no dents or cosmetic damage. All it needs is valid safety equipment to be ready to race.
