Built in 1993 at the Ford Motorsport factory in Boreham (managed by RAS, formerly Thiry, Delecourt, etc.). The 1995 Monte Carlo Rally was the first race for this Ford entered by R.A.S. Sport and ended with Bruno Thiry finishing fifth overall. He continued to drive this Escort, but shared it with Patrick Snijers, who managed to win the Boucles de Spa and the Bianchi Rally in 1995 with this Escort, albeit in Bastos colours. In 1996, this Ford returned to Ford Motorsport in the UK, which sent it to Sweden with François Delecour, to Kenya with Stig Blomqvist and again with Bruno Thiry to the Acropolis and Rally Finland. After an overhaul (turbo, gearbox, axles), it competed in the 2024 Eiffel Rally Festival and the 2025 SpaRally without any problems. The engine has just been overhauled (pistons and valves) and is currently being run in.
