This 1986 Ford Sierra RS Cosworth is a highly prepared competition vehicle built to full Grupo A rally regulations. Weighing 1,100 kg, the car carries an exceptional historical pedigree. It was originally sourced from France where it was driven by Christian Rigollet. It later moved to Tenerife under the ownership of Walter Delgado, before undergoing its most recent comprehensive reconstruction in 2023.
The vehicle is powered by a high-specification Group A type Cosworth engine that was built and tuned by the renowned specialist Tony Field. The engine has covered only 500 kilometers since its last full service. Power is transmitted through a heavy-duty straight-cut H-pattern gearbox engineered to withstand demanding rally stages.
The chassis is set up with a fully adjustable threaded coilover suspension system providing excellent stage handling. Stopping power is delivered by a premium AP Racing Pro 5000 braking system. The car rides on 17-inch racing wheels designed to clear the upgraded brake setup. Structural rigidity and occupant safety are ensured by a comprehensive integrated roll cage.
The cockpit is configured for competition and features Sparco racing seats and matching Sparco safety harnesses. The fuel system is built around a centrally mounted fuel tank for optimal weight distribution. A complete fire suppression system is also fully integrated into the vehicle.
