This is an exceptional 1979 Talbot Sunbeam Lotus, prepared to Group 4 specifications for Historic Rally. The vehicle underwent a major rebuild in June 2025 and features extremely low usage on critical components.
The car stands out due to its near-new mechanical condition post-service. These high-value components have only 500 km of usage:
*Engine: Lotus Forged 2.2-litre with a dry sump system. The engine was assembled in Portugal by Retificadora Guimarães, using parts supplied and specified by Phil Davidson.
*Gearbox: ZF S5-18/3 (close ratio), recently serviced (500 km).
*Brakes: AP Racing 4-piston calipers (CP2361-2) (500 km).
*ECU: 123 Ignition Tune+ programmable ignition system (500 km).
*Wheels: Includes 3 sets of wheels (8x13 front, 9x13 rear).
*Suspension: Bilstein shock absorbers (2000 km).
*Paint: Bodywork finished with new paint in white (car sold without stickers in solid white).
The current owner acknowledges the car's initial French provenance. It was acquired in Spain in 2020 from one of its recent owners.
The car has run exclusively in Legends rallies with the current owner, and therefore does not currently hold a valid Historic Technical Passport (HTP). The owner believes that with an additional investment of approximately €3,000, it will be possible to obtain the Historic Technical Passport (HTP).
All safety items are up-to-date and valid for competition:
*Seats: Sparco Pro 2000 (Homologation valid until 2028).
*Harnesses : Sparco (Homologation valid until 2028).
*Fire Extinguisher: OMP electronic system (Valid until 2026).
*Roll-Cage: Custom Cages K3889 (Welded structure for maximum safety).
*Fuel Tank: Aluminium, custom-made and baffled.
The vehicle will be delivered with the following spares:
*Original Cylinder Head complete with valves and camshafts.
*2 AP 4-piston brake calipers (CP).
